New Years Eve 12-31-02
Started off at sneeze's around 4pm, just bumming around watching tv. Then we had dinner, and afterwards headed over to tamby's party. I got to talk to lots of people from high school that I haven't seen in a long time. Aside from that, we played some dreamcast games, and I made a fool out of myself playing DDR and damn near getting a cramp in my foot. Around 11:40pm, we had to leave beause Cinderella had to be home before 12 cuz his mom threatened to turn him into a pumpking or something. So over to Brandon's we went, and watched the ball drop... then we got the real party started. Flaming Dr. Pepper's are disgusting, but I guess it did the trick, and pretty soon we were all ready for the "nature crawl" complete with a flask of orc juice (151). So there we were, stumbling around in dark - blind as bats because we kept taking pictures so our eyes could never adjust - when we ended up somewhere in between the nature center and the golf course, and came upon a gate with a security camera mounted on it. Now, I'm not sure if someone saw us on the monitor, or the workers decided to make their routine patrols at 3am, but a little while later - out of nowhere - we see a car heading towards us, driving right through the middle of the golf course! At that point, we were a bit worried about getting in trouble for trespassing and whatnot, so we ducked behind some trees and hid. After the car passed, we thought it was over... but then another showed up a few minutes later, and this time we ran for the hills. Big mistake. The place was littered with cactus-like plants and while scrambling around like monkies up there, we got thorns stuck all over and it hurt like hell. Anyway, we're chilling up on the hill trying to pull these thorns out of our skin, when a third car comes by and stops close to us...... but he leaves shortly thereafter. Whew. After that we boned out and made our way back to the main streets and hiked back to brando's house by 5am to crash. Nothing like getting stuck into some catcus bushes to sober you up, and I am STILL picking out little thorns that got stuck in my clothes.... chalk this one up as the most memorable new years ever, thanks guys.
thorns, ouch.

Snowboarding at Brian Head, Utah 12-26-02 to 12-29-02
This had to be one of the very best ski resorts I have been to. The runs were relatively empty, the snow was great, it was "cheap" (relatively), and best of all, the beginner and expert courses were on separate resorts making it better for everyone no matter what skill level you are. For the first time, I was actually NOT worried that some idiot was going to come down too fast and crash into me! :-D
The Grove 12-22-02
Went to check out this new shopping center and see Gangs of New York. It was soooo crowded when we arrived, they had closed off the parking lot due to lack of space. Imagine the block or irvine spectrum, but nicer, that's what this place was. There was this gigantic xmas tree, some places to shop, and the nicest movie theater I have ever been to. The lobby was literally what you would expect if you walked into a nice hotel. They even offer upgraded seats ($2.00 premium, bringing the ticket to $11.25) that are covered in leather up at the top, away from everyone else, and have in-seat refereshment service (someone bringing you food).
Snowboarding at Mountain High 12-18-02
My feet hurt. My shins hurt. My knees hurt. My entire lower body just hurts. And damn Savith, his first time going, but by the end of the day he already managed to learn everything I did in the last three times, and then some. Good first run of the season though, I can almost carve!
Lakers vs. Magic 12-15-02
Game was good, but I wish the score was closer because it just didn't have the excitement of the last game with the rockets that came down to the final basket. McGrady put on a helluva show first quarter with something like 18 points and only one miss. Too bad that back pain was bugging him because after he left, the game got pretty boring since the rest of the magic team was playing like crap and they ended up losing by 23.
Turkey Break 11-27-02 to 12-1-02
I slacked off alot, saw Bond (sooooo coool, Vanquish.... drool), went mtn biking, saw family/friends, went to some hooka place, watched tons of sports/tv, played minigolf, and ate too much.
Early Turkey Dinner 11-26-02
So much goooooood foood! Thanks to allen and huei for having us, and also to everyone else who brought food..... mashed potatoes, mac n' cheese, turkey w/ lots of butter, potato salad, muffins, cookies, stuffing, etc.... mmmmmm, I ate better that night than I did on Thanksgiving.
Eric's birthday 11-23-02
Miyagi's for dinner/drinks then we went to some party at USC where they celebrated kicking UCLA's ass - not that you can blame them. On a brighter note, crazyrandom things that I observed that night (only the more memorable ones):
-Sheryl slapping random chicks butts at Miyagi's, and while walking down Sunset
-Sheryl whistling and hitting on more random chicks/guys (more notably the 60 year old parking attendant, and the girl in front of the liquor store who got pissed off)
-both of them rolling their windows down, then sticking their limbs out and rolling the window back up to see how much it hurt
-both kissing a homosexual guy at USC and turning him bisexual
-sheryl almost jumping onto some guy's hood as he backs out, and then christy for grabbing onto the trunk for a little ride
-much much more that I probably forgot
reads like a script for an episode of Jackass to me.... but a whole lot more fun hehe.
UCLA vs. USC 11-23-02
OMG our football team sucks, FIVE TURNOVERS (is that a record?)!!! 21-7 by the end of the first quarter. Pathetic.... it wasn't just a loss, but a slaughter. Its like they killed our team, and then kicked the dead bodies, it was just THAT bad. The final score may have been 52-21, but that was because of two "pity" touchdowns UCLA scored in the fourth quarter after USC stopped caring..... ugh, we left at the end of the third when it was 45-7. And yet, somehow, it wasn't a complete waste of $30 and 2 hours getting in/out of the parking lot..... but next time, it will be!
Lakers vs. Rockets 11-17-02
It was my first trip to the Staples Center, and quite a memorable one at that. The venue was very nice on the inside, and suprisingly, even sitting at the very top section, we had a decent view of the action going on below. But the seats were a bit cramped, and it was just my luck I had to sit next to a fat retard who kept yelling out the dumbest crap that didn't even make any sense.
